USING YOUR SCENTIER™ LAMPE WITH THE PLATINUM WICK®

Please read all safety precautions & directions before use.
Prepare your fragrance lamp just as you would for use with a stone burner.

1.    Remove decorative Crown Cap and Cut Off Cap.
2.    Avoid spills place lamp on glass saucer when filling. (Parfum will damage finished surfaces on contact).
       Use a funnel to fill lamp 1/2- 2/3 thirds full of Scentier™ Parfum. (wipe up any spills before use)
3.    Insert Platinum Wick® into Lampe.
4.    Ensure cloth wick is fully inserted into Lampe and wick assembly is seated in metal tier cap.
       Cover wick with Cut Off Cap and allow DRY cloth wick to absorb Parfum  for 5 minutes before lighting.



LIGHTING THE PLATINUM WICK®:

The Platinum Wick® lights differently than a stone burner. It heats up without a TALL flame as a sign it is lit. If a small flame appears when lighting gently blow it out.  Lampe will not disperse fragrance if flame is present.

5. Remove the Cut Off Cap and heat the Platinum Wick® in the middle not on top of the wick.  Heat the platinum screen for 5-10 seconds, using regular lighter, or 2-5 seconds, using wind resistant lighter, as show. 
Remove lighter flame and WAIT 30-45 seconds for the Platinum Wick® to gradually heat up and release fragrance. If a small flame appears gently blow it out.
Remember to WAIT, after lighter flame is first applied, to make sure wick is NOT lit before re-applying flame. The platinum screen will glow and you may hear a crackle, or see white puffs of scented steam when lit

6. Make sure any open flame is out then cover the Platinum Wick® with decorative Crown Cap and enjoy an instant expression of perfume.



7. EXTINGUISHING THE PLATINUM WICK®

Follow the same steps as you would for the stone burner.

Caution: Caps get hot handle with care

1.    Remove the Crown Cap.  
2.    Place Cut Off Cap over Platinum Wick® seated on lamp neck metal tier cap.  
3.    Replace Crown Cap and enjoy as a decorative accessory.
4.    The Platinum Wick® will self extinguish if Parfum runs out.( not recommended)   
5.    The Platinum Wick® can be blown out and will self extinguish if operated in front of a fan or draft.



Safety Precautions (Please Read Carefully)

Follow the same precautions as you would for the stone burner.

1.    When filling do not place Lampe or Parfum bottle caps on wooden furniture or painted surfaces.
2.    Use a saucer under Lampe to prevent possible damage to furniture finishes.
3.    Do not overfill. Wipe up any Parfum spills or drips before lighting the wick.
4.    Place on flat, stable surface away from any other combustible materials.
5.    Do not touch the wick as it is hot and can burn you even though there is no flame.
6.    Always cover the wick with Crown Cap when in use.
7.    Never place Crown Cap or Cut Off Cap on over any open flame.
8.    Caps may get hot during operation. Handle all caps and wicks with care.
9.    Keep Parfum bottles sealed, and lamps capped to avoid accidental spills and evaporation.
10.  Do not leave Lampe unattended while lighting or during operation.
11.  Keep Lampe and Parfum out of reach of children and pets.


CHANGING THE PLATINUM WICK® CLOTH WICK

 After extended use the Platinum Wick® cloth wick can be changed.

To remove old cloth wick;

STEP 1 Hold both finger tabs, turn counter clockwise, push up, turn clockwise, and pull down removing cloth wick from wick assembly.

To insert new cloth wick;

STEP 2 Hold finger tabs push open ends of cloth wick into wick assembly. Align slot tab with open slot, push open ends of cloth wick up into wick assembly, turn finger tab counter clockwise, then down and clockwise pulling slot tab into place as shown.
 
 TIP: Do not trim off the charred tip of used cotton wick. If cotton wick is too short the Platinum Wick® will not light.

If Scentier™ Parfum is too strong you can dilute it by blending in Neutralizer according to your own since of smell.

A Scentier™ Lampe can be used continuously for hours however for the best fragrance benefit we recommend using it in 30 minute to 1 hour long increments. Usually ones sense of smell becomes "Fragrance Fatigued" after about 30 minutes of smelling the same scent making it less recognizable. Using the Lampe in shorter intervals will allow the fragrance diffused to dry down and constantly change so it can be enjoyed for hours, even days according to some, after the Lampe has been cut off.

TIPS:

1. Your lamp is smoking.
2. Your wick won't light or stay lit.
